Description
Cap 6-12 cm in diameter, fleshy, from convex to flattened, with a slightly depressed center, white in color. Smooth surface, slightly fibrillose at the margin, cracking in the center of the cap as it matures. Exceeding margin, slightly striated on its lower surface. Gills up to 1 cm high, free, crowded, with intercalated gills, dark brown with purple tones, with a paler edge. Stipe 2.5-5.5 × 2-3 cm, central, stout, and solid, cylindrical with a pointed base, whitish, with a volvate ring at the base, on which there is a wide striate sheath. The part of the stipe above this sheath is covered with evident, adpressed scales, first white and then grayish. The part of the stipe below the ring is scaly-cottony, first white and then grayish. Compact, white context, without notable color change. Unpleasant odor of urine, pleasant taste.
Esporas 6,1-7,06-8,2 × 4,9-5,49-6,1 μm, Q=1,1-1,29-1,5, n=40, de anchamente elipsoides a elipsoides, marrones, de pared gruesa, sin poro germinativo, gutuladas o no gutuladas. Basidios tetraspóricos, claviformes. Queilocistidios hialinos, claviformes. Pleurocistidios no observados. Pileipellis constituida por hifas cilíndricas, de pared delgada.
Material estudiado: La Rioja: entre Azofra y Hormilla, Jardín Botánico de La Rioja, 42.432840 -2.787688, 527 m, 15-20 basidiomas aislados, en la zona de ampliación del Jardín Botánico de La Rioja, en suelo desnudo arenoso con presencia de diversas coníferas en las cercanías, 16-X-2021, leg. C. Pérez del Amo & L. Ballester, CMP2256.
